What should your business build first?
The best first digital investment is the one that removes the clearest constraint on your growth. Start with the problem you can describe and measure.
If customers cannot find or trust you
Begin with a clear website. It should say who you serve, what you offer, why it matters, and how to take the next step. A focused site can create more value than a complex product with no audience.
If your team repeats the same work
Look at an internal tool or a thoughtful integration. Map the workflow before automating it. Find the handoffs, delays, and copy-paste steps that cost your team the most time.
If your offer depends on a digital experience
Build a small, testable product. Define the one job users need done, then launch the smallest version that can prove demand. Learn from real use before adding breadth.
A useful decision test
Write one sentence: “If we solve this, we expect to see ___ improve.” If you cannot fill in the blank, spend more time on discovery. That clarity helps every design and development decision that follows.
